Well kids we knew this was coming… I am sad to say that I have left the website fall by the way side, as it were. So today, March 15th 2010 at 3:04 pm EST i pronounce this Website DEAD! I have talked with the majority of the staff and they too agree that the site is done it has served us well over the past 6 months and now is dead and gone. I tell you now reader that there will be no T or G virus to bring this site back, no white mage to cast life, no fairy in a gas bottle or located in a dead enemy. Shes dead Jim and thats the way it was!
The only shout out i want to give is to the few readers we had and to the staff that joined up and came along for the short but fun ride!

Pacman

Recently, I bought an original Pacman arcade machine for around $200. The case is not bad, but it’s bad enough that it needs restoration. Since this machine is outside in my garage, which is colder than my freezer, all the electronics had to be removed from these extreme temperatures to prevent further damage (Most of the components a rusty).

I cleaned the motherboard a bit, reqired some stuff, and set it up on the floor in my basement. The game works, but the screen is covered with dots vertical lines and dots. I will put some more pics up when I get the chance.

**PS: According to the manual, the plural form of Pacman is Packmen… Cool.

I got my frist Xbox 360 Pro 11/9/06…three long and fun years ago.

To my dismay, my console got an E74 error (much like the RROD) and I had to cough up $300 for an Elite. Conviently my warranty of three years ended just a few months prior.

My brother, DaveryPocket, was able to successfully fix the E74 error and now I have two Xbox’s.

I was wanting a new Xbox primarily because of the 120GB HDD. After getting 7200MS points for XMAS I plan on buying Games on Demand from the marketplace…my old 20GB would not have enough room.

I just bought NFS: Most Wanted and that alone was 6GBs.

Sorry I haz not been posting lately, a little busy.

DaveyPocket and I recently purchased a Pac-Man arcade (the real thing, cabnet in all) and we will have a story on that shotely.

Batman Arkham Asylum (PS3/360)

In the vain of the first good “movie based game” X-men Origins, Batman AA came out and kicked everyone’s ass and combined The Metal Gear style Sneaking, The action of God of War and a DAMN GOOD story that can be loosely said as a Dark Knight Squeal! Even if you have not played games since the SNES get a PS3 and GET THIS GAME! Hopefully the Second game, promptly named Batman Arkham Asylum 2, looks really good and i cant wait for it!

Runner Up: The Beatles Rock Band

Hand held: Professor Layton 2 (DS)

Ok so this only got game of the year over the Runner up because it has a better stand alone story! The runner up being Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and the “stand alone” story of Professor Layton is a TON better than KH:358/2 Days aka Kingdom Hearts Dumb Name! But story aside this game (Professor Layton) works a HARDCORE Puzzle game and a DAMN good Mystery into one special and great gaming experience! Now comparing this to Professor Layton 1 the puzzles are EASY! But these puzzles in the second game are at a medium difficulty! But still many of the latter puzzles are just easy, but where the puzzles weaken the Story really picks up and the same can be said when the story is weak the puzzles are fun and really brain teasing! So i do recommend a walkthrough for this game!
Runner Up: Kingdom Hearts Dumb name

CAN YOU SAY METAL GEAR!!!!!

Yes boys and girls, my number one fireside game is the original Metal Gear Solid (PSX,NGC,PSN)

Yes the First game is great! No matter what system! This game laid the ground work for all the MG games we have now and i am a HUGE metal gear fan although i am still on MGS2 i have read up on the story (except MGS4) and looking at how great Kojima has brought together all these elements from two different time periods to make ONE great story takes a lot of planning and thought process! So sir i give you a triple thumbs up for your story telling!

CHRONO TRIGGER! (PSX,SNES,DS)

If only they made this!!

This game is a staple in RPG culture! Chrono Trigger (Not Cross) is one of my favorite RPGs EVER! The multiple endings (Now 13 i believe)
provide for a VERY diverse gaming experience all be it that to get the “better” endings you have to beat the game once and then do a new game plus but its all worth it! The battle system is almost at a point of perfection, there are few flaws but what game doesn’t have flaws!?!? But i digress, this game is HIGHLY recommended by this site and its staff! It comes pretty cheap only 20.00 at game stop! so get it!

So for the number four spot in my fireside games, i really had to battle it out and number 4 goes to
SUPER SMASH BROs (N64)

Best Characters you need no more or no less!

The original and best of the SSB series! It was put up on the Wii VC yesterday or the bay before, and i will probably download it this week and have friends over to play it. This game holds A LOT of childhood memories, Thanksgiving and christmas there was many a fight when one cousin would lose repeatedly to another! I LOVE this game i never owned the original but i have had it on the project 64 emulator! But its just not the same, so as many of you have a wii (Or your aunts and uncles as all of mine own a Wii) just download it pay the ten bucks and have HOURS of fun!
